With two goals each, Toms Akmeņlauks, Artis Raitums and Toms Bitmanis emerged as the top scorers in the game.
Latvia lost most of the previous games but scored a tie against Norway. The team went on to play an elimination round against Denmark, losing in the overtime.
Latvia has never ranked below 9th place in the World Floorball Championships, but only a win against Slovakia will ensure it stays that way.
