Coe – who is now President of the International Association of Athletics Federations following a career in British politics and sports administration – is inviting amateur runners to join him for a breakfast run on March 9 at 07.30 from the Latvian National Art Museum to the Freedom Monument.

The World Running Championship will take place in Riga on September 30 and October 1, 2023, bringing together the world's best runners, running enthusiasts and families with children from more than 100 countries in three distances for the first time in history.

More details will be revealed on March 9, but you can already register for participation at the official website: https://www.worldathletics.org/competitions/world-athletics-road-running-championships/riga23.

At the press conference on March 9 the official mascot of the World Road Running Championship will also be introduced.
