In the 57 kg final, Inese Tarvida was defeated by Russia's Tatiana Kudashova 5:15. At the previous European Championship, Kudashova won gold in the 53 kg weight class.
Jolanta Tarvida, who lost to Kudashova in the semifinals 5:17, placed third.
