Digital Freedom Festival announces line-up

The influential Latvian technology, startup, policy and lifestyle Digital Freedom Festival, has announced details of this year's program.

The festival will be held from November 30th to December 1st at the Riga Latvian Society House and will gather more than 1500 attendees from around the world. This year's new features include Investor Day, Digital Freedom Festival Campus masterclasses and a 24-hour biohacking retreat.

Digital Freedom Festival Co-founder Dagnija Lejina said: “The Digital Freedom Festival will be the first technology conference in Latvia's new centenary, so as a gift we want to organize an especially exceptional event. The future will be controlled by those who control technology. This is why we're bringing world-class knowledge and contacts to Riga - to strengthen our position in the digital revolution. Our wish is for Latvia to become a regional leader in the tech innovation sector and to surprise the world!”

On November 30th discussions about our digital future will be held on five stages.

On the main “Future Stage” discussion topics will include the influence of technology on political processes and health, artificial intelligence (AI) and biases, creating modern city designs and other topics. Speakers will include AI researcher and engineer Hanan Salam from France, city planner and human-centred urban environment creator Mikael Colville-Andersen from Denmark, and a representative of the world's largest genetic data storage and exchange platform Henry Ines from the USA.

The PNB Investor Lounge will host Investor Day. The event will include four startup pitch pitch competitions, including ones by world-leading accelerators 500 Startups and Rockstart, as well EIT Climate-KIC accelerator and the LU Studentu Business Incubator. The closing of Investor Day will include investor speed-dating.

In cooperation with Biohacking.lv anyone interested will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive biohacking retreat from December 1st - 2nd. Participation will include a unique mind, body and social interaction experience, and learning methods for improving wellbeing used by the most productive and influential people in the world.
