The organizers say the discussion will be more than hot air with investors and officials together looking for the answers to real questions about how to create a safe, open investment environment in Latvia, particularly in the context of the wide-ranging clean-up in the financial sector.
Participating in the discussion will be FICIL board representative Zlata Elksniņa-Zaščirinska, head of the Financial Intelligence Unit of Latvia Ilze Znotiņa, Financial and Capital markets commission chairwoman Santa Purgaile and Latvian Investment and Development Agency director Kaspars Rožkalns alongside businessman Reinhold Schneider of the Schwenk company.
The discussion will take place September 10 at 13.30 and will be streamed live at www.fid.gov.lv and the FICIL Facebook page as well as on LSM English.
It takes place against the backdrop of a FICIL High Council meeting with the Cabinet of Ministers taking place on 10th/11th of September at which investors have promised to present ministers with eleven "position papers" recommending future policy directions.
