More than 200 industry leaders from around the world will get together during October 25th and
26th in the city of Liepaja in order to join the lingerie business forum, according to the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA).

"The most remarkable lingerie labels from Latvia will be presenting their latest collections during the fashion show at the event. Latvian lingerie manufacturers have positioned themselves as one of the market leaders when it comes to export, with France being the only country in Europe that has more manufacturers in the industry than Latvia," says information from LIAA, which adds that more than 1,600 textile companies employing 13,000 people are active in the sector in Latvia.

If you take nothing else from today, let it be that amazing fact: Latvia is second only to France when it comes to underwear!

More than 50 lingerie manufacturing companies operate in Liepāja and 60% of the total turnover of the
industry in Latvia is generated there.

"Lingerie manufacturers are currently the strongest representatives of the Latvian textile sector, who
are successful not only in the domestic market, but also by exporting it abroad. Our producers are
able to offer a full range of services internationally - from furniture and fabric manufacturing to
designing and manufacturing lingerie collections, which undoubtedly is one of the biggest advantages
of Latvian industry," says Andris Ozols, the long-time director of LIAA.

The 10 biggest lingerie labels of Latvia will put their wares on display: “Gracija-RIM”, “La Coquette”, “Nikol Djumon”, “Orhideja”, “Regina N”, “Rosme”, “Stefi L”, “V.I.P.A.”, “V.O.V.A.”, “Ze:Bra.”

And yes, the lingerie cat walk fashion show will be available for viewing live online on the website of the Latvian Investment and Development Agency.
