Also from 7 to 8, as well as 12 to 15 and 17 to 20, the price of electricity on the exchange will range from 0.70 to 0.99 euros per kWh.
The average daily price will be EUR 0.67 per kWh.
In view of the expected price jump, the Public Utilities Commission (SPRK) invites residents with stock exchange contracts to pay attention to electricity consumption for the coming days.
“Given that in the countries of the region - Baltics and Nordic countries - stock exchange prices have also risen due to the cold weather and subsequent overall higher electricity consumption, we also encourage other households to evaluate their possibilities to reduce the use of electric appliances,” adds Alda Ozola, Chairwoman of the SPRK Council.
