Latvia's housing prices up 6% on year

Provisional data published on June 15 by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) show that, compared to the 1st quarter of 2022, in the 1st quarter of 2023 prices of dwellings rose by 6.0 %. 

Prices of new dwellings increased by 18.0 %, but of existing dwellings – by 3.3 %.

Compared to the 4th quarter of 2022, in the 1st quarter of 2023 prices of dwellings didn’t change. Prices of new dwellings fell by 1.8 %, but prices of existing dwellings increased by 0.6 %.

Compared to 2015, in the 1st quarter of 2023 prices of dwellings were 86.7 % higher. Prices of new dwellings increased by 77.1 %, but of existing dwellings – by 89.6 %.
