If a user has cut the connection load to try and reduce costs but if less capacity ends up being insufficient, some €80 had to be paid for the reconnection of higher loads. Now, the ST promises to relieve customers from the fee.
This service will be available free of charge within one year of the entry into force of the new tariffs from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024.
The company has already informed the Commission on Public Utilities (SPRK) about this plan and is currently working on its implementation.
The ST also recalled that the decision on load reduction needs to be carefully assessed, also because there may be cases where “released” capacity is no longer available after time (if it has been received by another customer and there is no longer free capacity in that particular network location). In this case, the increase in load will require the conversion of the network, which may lead to additional costs.
When assessing the appropriateness of an existing connection for household needs, it is recommended to focus first on the number of amps and whether it is consistent with the use of electricity.
