The level of prices of products sold on the domestic market decreased by 14.2 %, and prices of exported products by 5.3 %. Prices of products exported to euro area countries decreased by 6.0 % and of products exported to non-euro area countries by 4.8 %.
Price drops in heat and gas supply, trade and manufacture of electricity; manufacture of wood and of products of wood and cork (except furniture), as well as manufacture of chemicals and chemical products had a downward impact on the level of producer prices during the year, the CSB said.
In November 2023, compared to October, the level of producer prices in Latvian industry decreased by 0.1 %. Prices of products sold on the domestic market rose by 0.1 %, while prices of exported products reduced by 0.3 %. Producer prices of products exported to euro area countries reduced by 0.7 % and prices of products exported to non-euro area countries remained unchanged.
