Latvia's GDP flash estimate shows 0.7% growth in Q1

Flash estimate published by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) on April 27 shows that in Q1 2023, compared to Q1 2022, gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 0.7 % (according to seasonally and calendar non-adjusted data).

According to provisional estimations, the GDP was affected by a drop of 1.3 % in producing sectors, but in services sectors there was a growth of 0.4 %. Taxes on products collected increased by 8.2 %.

Compared to Q4 2022, GDP increased by 0.5 % (according to seasonally and calendar adjusted data).
