Baltic bourses suspended due to "technical disturbances"

Take note – story published 4 years ago

Trading on the Baltic stock exchanges was severely disrupted November 1 because of "connectivity issues," Nasdaq Baltic said.

"Nasdaq is experiencing connectivity issues that are affecting markets in the Baltics. As a result, equity markets have been halted in Nasdaq Baltic. We are working diligently to resolve the issue," Nasdaq Baltic said.

It later said the "disturbances have been resolved" and that trading would be resumed with existing orders "flushed", only to backtrack shortly afterwards saying: "Nasdaq is still experiencing connectivity issues affecting its Nordic and Baltic markets... Trading will not be resumed for the rest of the day due to technical disturbances. We apologize for any inconveniences."

The Tallinn, Rīga and Vilnius stock exchanges were all affected.
