The Latvian Central Bank turned a profit of €36.8 million in 2014, the bank said in a press release Wednesday.

"In accordance with the law, 65% or 23.9 million euro of the profit for 2014 will be appropriated to the state budget; the rest of the profit will be transferred to the reserve capital of Latvijas Banka," the statement said.

The amount was down on 2013's profit of €41.4m but slightly better than 2012's €33.9m figure.

The full accounts will be posted on the bank's website at a later date, the bank said.
