Excise tax hike sends fuel prices up

As the new excise tax rate for fuel products has come into force on January 1, the prices of fuel at Statoil filling stations have increased by three cents per liter of gasoline and autogas, representative of Statoil Armands Žubulis told LETA news agency Monday.

The price of diesel fuel has grown by a single cent per liter.

At the moment the average gas price at Statoil filling stations is €1.084 per liter, and €0.944 per liter for diesel fuel.

The lowest price in the stations is €1.01 for a liter for gas and €0.9 for a liter of diesel fuel.
