Take note – story published 3 years ago

As of July 1, 2020, new natural gas tariffs will be introduced for households, reducing the tariff by 6.7% to 10.8%, depending on household's yearly consumption, "Latvijas gāze" (Latvian gas) said in a media statement on June 10.

These tariffs would be the lowest in 12 years - since October 2008. Tariffs are reduced in accordance with global price declines.

The approved tariffs foresee a fall by 6.7% in natural gas tariff if the yearly consumption of gas is up to 250 m3 or 5269 kWh. The largest reduction will apply to households using natural gas for heating and whose annual consumption is ranging from 500 to 25000 m3 or 5269 to 263450 kWh, with a tariff reduction of 10.8%.

Information on tariffs and services can be accessed on Latvijas Gāze website.
