Housing prices jumped 17% on year in Latvia

Provisional data published on June 16 by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) show that, compared to the first quarter of 2021, in the first quarter of 2022 prices of dwellings rose by 17.3 %.

Prices of new dwellings increased by 4.5 %, but of existing dwellings – by 21.0 %.

Compared to the 4th quarter of 2021, in the 1st quarter of 2022 prices of dwellings went up by 2.4 %. Prices of new dwellings fell by 1.5 %, but prices of existing dwellings increased by 3.4 %.

Compared to 2015, in the 1st quarter of 2022 prices of dwellings were 75.9 % higher. Prices of new dwellings increased by 48.9 %, but of existing dwellings – by 83.8 %.
