Latvian central bank launches new Macro Profile

Take note – story published 5 years and 8 months ago

Latvijas Banka, the Latvian central bank (LB), has given an overhaul to its English-language macroeconomic offerings and is launching a new "Macro Profile", LB told LSM January 30.

The Macro Profile replaces the former monthly newsletter produced by LB and "will contain more focused and concentrated information about Latvia's economic growth and outlook and will provide comparison with the situation in Estonia and Lithuania, our neighbouring countries."

Content includes a summary of Latvia's economic developments by economists of Latvijas Banka; Latvia's key economic indicators (GDP, inflation, labor market, current account, and forecasts on their further dynamics); information on foreign direct investment and key economic indicators and forecasts for Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia

It is planned to release the Macro Profile twice per year, in January and July. For a more detailed analysis of the Latvian economy, the Macroeconomic Developments Report will still be available, too. It is presented on the website in "Slide share" format but can also be downloaded in PDF format.

You can explore the Macro Profile for yourself at LB's website.
