Latvian GDP up 5.9% in first quarter of 2022

A flash estimate published April 28 by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) shows that in the 1st quarter of 2022, compared to the 1st quarter of 2021, gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 5.9 % (according to seasonally and calendar non-adjusted data).

According to provisional estimations, the GDP was affected by a drop of 0.2 % in producing sectors and growth of 6.3 % in services sectors.

Compared to the 4th quarter of 2021, GDP increased by 2.1 % (according to seasonally and calendar adjusted data).
