Most people browsed the web using a computer or a phone, according to Gemius data on web use statistics.
The monthly average number of internet users was at 1,421,000 last year, of which about 1,216,000 used computers and about 978,000 used mobile phones. Of these, 52% were women and 48% were men.
The total user reach across Latvia was at about 79% in January 2018 and it grew to 81% in December. The total reach for computer users grew from 66% to 67% from January to December 2018 while mobile reach increased from 51% to 60% in the same period.
Gemius notes that there has been a sizable decrease in the number of people aged 15-24 using computers, with the early 2013 figure of 256,000 down to 156,000 in 2018. Meanwhile the number of people aged 55 and above using the internet on the computer has grown from 175,000 in September 2013 to 232,000 within five years.
