The Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) has established a COVID-19 product platform that compiles the products made in Latvia for restricting COVID-19, LIAA informed the media in a statement on June 3.

The platform is available is English, as it is focused on exporting products to foreign markets.

"We have gathered the producers of COVID-19 containment products known to us today on a single platform, and we call for others to be referred to in order to be able to complement this platform. Information on products made in Latvia will be disseminated through our economic missions, as well as inviting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to engage in and promote Latvian production in the fight against COVID-19, which may currently be particularly requested in the most severely affected countries," said LIAA director Kaspars Rožkalns.

The platform assembles the products offered by 50 companies in categories, such as facial shields, facial masks, hand and surface disinfectants, as well as specialized clothing and other products.

Any Latvian company producing items of this profile is invited to apply for inclusion on the platform. Applications are welcome not only from manufacturers but also companies that offer a variety of technological solutions or other products that can be useful in restricting COVID-19 in Latvia and elsewhere.
