The event will be held on July 29 at 12:50 - at the time when a Stockholm - Riga plane operated by Norwegian Air Shuttle is set to and, according to info available at the RIX website. But perhaps the lucky passenger will be from the earlier arrivals that are operated by Air Baltic.

Last year, the airport served 4.8 mln passengers, which is 0.4% more than in 2013.

Chairman Liepiņš said that Riga serves 46% of passengers in the Baltics, and this year the airport will continue working on attracting new companies and adding new destinations.

The flag carrier airline airBaltic served about 56% of the passengers, while Ryanair accounted for 16%. In comparison to 2013, the companies Wizz Air, Lufthansas and Norwegian Air Shuttle saw an increase in the number of passengers for, respectively, 51%, 18% and 15%.
