Since 2015 RNP board has had three members – Ivo Lecis, Iveta Zalane and Inga Bulgarina, and in the future the board will consist of five members. Gontarevs will replace the current RNP head Lecis, while Lecis, Zalane and Bulgarina will continue work in the board.
Gontarevs has a degree in real estate management and a Master’s degree in law and business administration. He has been working as the board chairman of Latio Namsaimnieks housing manager.
Meanwhile Pavilsons has been working in real estate since 2007. He has been board member at CS Komercserviss and Labo namu aģentūra, as well as held posts related to housing management at Civinity and Hausmaster.
Both Pavilsons and Gontarevs said they will leave their current jobs.
As reported in July, Riga mayor Nils Ušakovs promised reforms at the municipal housing manager saying hundreds of staff had been cut from 2012.
He dismissed the claims that RNP had fictitiously employed a dozen people, including people linked to MPs and councilors from his party.
On its website RNP, which is oversees utilities and maintenance of much of housing in Riga - especially mass-produced Soviet-era houses - says it manages more than 4,200 houses and serves more than 167,000 clients.
