Swedbank raises Latvia’s GDP growth forecast for 2018 to 4.5%

Swedbank has raised Latvia’s GDP forecast for this year to 4.5% from 4%, the bank’s latest Economic Outlook shows.

The forecast of Latvia’s economic growth for 2019 and 2020 has been left unchanged, at 3% and 2.5 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Latvia’s annual inflation forecast for this year remains at 2.6% and has been revised upwards from 2.5% to 2.7% for 2019. The inflation forecast for 2020 stays at 2.3%.

The Estonian economy is expected to grow at a rate of 3.5% this year, according to the Swedbank Economic Outlook. The fresh forecast also leaves unchanged the growth estimates on Estonia for the next couple of years -- at 3.2% for 2019 and at 2.7% for 2020.

Likewise, Swedbank left the economic growth outlook on Lithuania unchanged at 3.6 percent for 2018, at 2.5 percent for 2019 and at 2 percent for 2020.
