Third quarter GDP up 4.8% on year in Latvia

The latest flash estimate of the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) shows that in the third quarter of 2021, compared to the third quarter of 2020, gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 4.8 % (according to seasonally and calendar non-adjusted data).

According to provisional estimations, GDP was affected by a rise of 1.3 % in production sectors and of 6.1 % in services sectors.

Compared to the second quarter of 2021, GDP increased by 0.3 % (according to seasonally and calendar adjusted data).

Revisions to third quarer GDP figures will be published on November 30.
