The first position was taken by Bordeaux in France, followed by Lisbon, Athens and Valletta.
"The voters said that Riga is a beautiful and romantic city with admirable architecture," said Ivana.
She also said that Riga this year has started to present Riga Card product to its tourists, offering unlimited use of public transport in Riga, discounts for boat trips, special price for bike rent and free entrance to several museums.
