Over the year actual unemployment rate increased by 0.8 percentage points.
Unemployment rate among women did not change and was 6.3 % and among men it went up by 0.2 percentage points to 8.2 %.
The unemployment rate registered with the State Employment Agency (NVA) was 5.8 %. It has risen by 0.1 percentage points over the month and reduced by 0.5 percentage points over the year.
In February 2024 there were 67.7 thousand unemployed persons in Latvia (29.6 thousand women and 38.1 thousand men), which is 0.7 thousand more than a month ago and 8.0 thousand more than a year ago. During the month, the number of unemployed men grew by 0.6 thousand and of unemployed women did not change.
