The route 11 from Ausekļa Street to Mežaparks has been closed since last summer due to construction works. Since not all works have been finished yet, the tram will run on the route Central Station – Mežaparks.
According to Rīgas Satiksme, it is important to restore the route before the Song and Dance festival takes place in Mežaparks starting June 30.
In the near future, it is planned to finish the route to Ausekļa Street.
On workdays the tram will run with an interval of 8 to 10 minutes and on weekends – 11 to 13 minutes. Only low-floor trams will run on the route.
