Traffic restrictions in Rīga ahead of Positivus festival

This weekend, July 14–15, the Positivus festival will take place in Rīga. As of Wednesday, July 12, traffic restrictions will be introduced, the Rīga City Council said.

From Wednesday, July 12, at 9:00 until Monday, July 17, at 17:00 access of vehicles to the docks of Lucavsala will be banned. During that period the stopping and parking of vehicles in the public parking lot of Lucavsala shall also be prohibited.

From Thursday, July 13, at 17:00 until Sunday, July 16, at 3:00 vehicle traffic will be closed on the Lucavsalas Street and on the section of Laivu Street opposite the shopping mall K Senukai.

From Thursday, July 13, at 17:00 until Sunday, July 16, at 3:30 vehicles will be banned from stopping and parking on the Lucavsalas Street section from Mūkusalas roundabout to Laivu Street.

Riga City Council said that the State Police in cooperation with the Rīga municipality police will monitor and if necessary restrict vehicle traffic at the place of the event and adjacent streets, including on the Salu Bridge and Mūkusalas Roundabout.

Lucavsala garden plot tenants will be able to access them by receiving a pass at the Rīga customer service on Eduarda Smiļģa Street 46.
