"Rīgas meži" ziedo 12 auto Ukrainas aizstāvjiem

4x4 vehicles donated to Ukraine by Latvian forest rangers

Riga Forests Ltd has donated 12 Lada 4X4 Pickup cars to Ukrainian soldiers. On the front, such four-wheel drive cars are particularly needed, Latvian Television reported on January 15.

The 4x4 cars were until recently forest ranger service cars. Forest rangers now have more modern vehicles, but previous ones will fight against the aggressor. Remarkably, the “Lada 4X4 pickup” cars were made in Russia in 2017-2019.

Anita Skudra, chairwoman of the Riga Forests Board, said: “The first idea of how to use the previous cars - no question, they should be donated to Ukraine. Cars have gone 50 thousand kilometers, they are in working order. And we hope they can serve the Ukrainian defenders.”

Every car delivered to the front means lives saved. Such vehicles can be used for a variety of purposes, such as transporting wounded soldiers from the battlefield. The cars are also given tire sets and spare parts not used.

The 12 vehicles will be delivered to Ukraine this month by the Agendum society through the Twitterconvoy.
