Construction works will last until the end of this year. The speed limit will be 70 km/h, and 50 km/h at the work site. The width restriction is 3.5 meters.
During the initial phase of the works, traffic will be organized in one lane with traffic lights in two sections, with 25 minutes planned to cross the entire construction section, LVC said.
The project will involve the reconstruction of the road surface, with a recycled layer in most of the section, but also the reconstruction of the entire road structure in places.
The construction works are being carried out by the supplier association "VIA un Vianova" for a contract price of EUR 5,335,363.55 (incl. VAT),
The project author is Vertex projekti SIA, and construction supervision is provided by Būvju profesionālā uzraudzība SIA.
The construction works are financed by the European Union's Recovery Fund.
