Traffic limitations in place around Rail Baltica construction

As the construction of “Rail Baltica” continues, significant traffic restrictions have been introduced in Rīga from May 23 to June 28 on and around Lāčplēša Street, Rīga City Council said on Tuesday.

During the specified period, vehicle traffic will be organized in two lanes, one in each direction, from Satekles Street to Kalupes Street.

Kalupes Street's connection to Lāčplēša Street will be temporarily closed, while pedestrians have a new passage on Lāčplēša Street near Kalupe Street.

The local government apologized for the inconvenience caused and asked drivers and residents to follow the changes.

The full company “Bererix” responsible for the performance of the work shall ensure the placement of road signs, the passage of vehicles to the place of residence or business, as well as operational and public transport services by residents and businesses located at that section of the street.
