The police have received information that a road traffic accident has occurred on the 80th kilometer of the Riga-Liepāja motorway in Blīdene municipality of Saldus district. The driver and passenger of the car were killed in a head-on collision between a car and a truck.
Operational services are working at the scene, traffic is partially blocked.
"Latvijas Valsts ceļi" said that the accident site can be avoided by road Blīdene-Remte and by road Kandava-Saldus via Pilsblīdene.
As reported earlier, yesterday, June 25, two car accidents occurred on this section of the Riga-Liepaja motorway, killing four people.
