In March 2021, the Latvian national airline airBaltic transported 29,200 passengers, 79% fewer than last year, the airline said in a statement April 13.

airBaltic carried out 660 flights in March this year.

airBaltic Chief Executive Martins Gauss said: “In March 2020 we were already forced to stop all our regular flights to help limit Covid-19 spread. At the moment, we are gradually resuming flights to more and more destinations, providing important connections to those passengers who need to travel. We expect responsible and safe travel for recreational purposes to be available again in the summer months.”

In March, the 15-minute punctuality rate of airBaltic flights reached 96%. This indicates that more than 96 out of 100 airBaltic flights departed at the scheduled time or with a delay of up to 15 minutes.
