The company said In June 2018, a record high 424,822 passengers flew with the airline, 14% more than the same month last year.
During the first six months of the year, airBaltic transported 1,876,839 passengers, a figure equivalent to just under the entire population of Latvia, and 20% up on the first six months of 2017.
Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic commented saying: “For the first time in the 23 year history of the airline we have carried over 400 000 passengers in a single month. While serving more passengers, we still maintain our high level of service, showing that our team is capable of further growth.”
During the first six months of 2018 airBaltic operated 26,579 flights, with June accounting for 5,134 flights. The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, during first six months of 2018 was at a level of 73%, but in June 2018 – 83%.
