From June 4 to June 7, Riga Bike Week is taking place at the Riga Motormuseum. As part of the event, children, adolescents, and adults will have an opportunity to pass a free bicycle driver's test. Three theoretical tests are scheduled for each of the four days. The limit of participants for each test is 15.

Pēteris Dūnis, the senior museum instructor, elaborated on the application process for the test.

“Everyone who does not have a driver's permit or any other licence is welcome to sit the exam and sign up for any of the three daily groups. The times are 10:30, 12:30, and 14:30. Road traffic regulations have to be learned beforehand, and some form of personal identification should be brought to the test. The driver's licence can obtained by anyone from the age of 10. If, say, a child is 9, but is turning 10 soon, then he or she is still allowed to sit the test,” Dūnis said.

The signing up can be done by calling 67025858 on weekdays from 9:00 to 17:00.
