The move will allow Rīga residents and others to get about the city to visit friends and relatives, and to attend public celebrations.
A weekend/holiday timetable will be in operation instead of the regular weekday timetable, so travellers should plan their journeys accordingly. However, additional services will also be laid on to help people get to and from special events, on the night of June 23 and morning of June 24, until approximately 05.30.
There will be no need to scan e-tickets and QC tickets when boarding buses, trams and trolleybuses. On June 23 and 24, Riga municipal parking lots will be available free of charge, except the underground parking lot in Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5a at the Riga Congress Center.
More details, timetables and travel routes are available at the Rīgas Satiksme website.
