More plane crash remains found in Baltic sea Wednesday

WIth the help of the Latvian Naval forces' equipment, parts of the plane that plummeted into the Baltic Sea near Ventspils on Sunday have been located, along with the personal items of the passengers, LETA reported on September 8.

The bodies of the passengers have still not been found. Some body parts were found on Monday.

The material filmed by the Naval forces robot has been given to the competent authorities. The Naval forces have concluded their search but will join in again if involvement is required. 

Latvian Transport accident investigation bureau's director Anita Šķinuma told LETA that the further investigation of the crash has been transferred to Germany's authorities. "We are a support point here in Latvia, but Germany will have all further information," said Šķinuma.

Latvian State Police has also launched criminal proceedings regarding the crash.
