Passenger ticket lottery begins Tuesday in Latvia

Tuesday, September 1, campaign "Biļete JĀ-ŅEM" begins in Latvia. Passengers in regional buses and trains are asked to save their ticket and register it on panembileti.lv for a chance to win 300 EUR, said Transport Administration representatives.

As previously reported by LSM, this is necessary not only for passengers themselves but for Road Transport Administration. According to board chair Kristiāns Godiņš, these tickets help to form statistics which later are helpful to figure out which routes are needed and how frequent transportation is necessary on that route.

Tickets may be registered from September 1 to October 4. On October 5, three winners will be drawn who will receive a prize of EUR 300.

The lottery does not apply to city buses (Daugavpils, Jelgava, Jūrmala, Liepāja, Rēzekne, Rīga, Ventspils, Jēkabpils, Valmiera).
