Public transport fill reduced to 65% in Latvia

The maximum fill of passengers in public transport has been reduced to 65% in place of the previous 80% of the total capacity, Auto transport Directorate said August 27.

The changes to the regulation take effect immediately.

On Friday, August 27, the cumulative incidence rate in Latvia rose above 100 for the first time since June 22. Accordingly, the capacity was reduced from 80% to 65%, like it was previously when the rate was above 100. 

Other requirements, including wearing masks, ventilation, and other epidemiological safety measures, are still in place.
