Three deaths on Latvian roads Friday

On Friday, March 3, three people were killed in traffic accidents on Latvia's roads, the State Police told LETA on March 4.

At 10:50 in Gulbene, a Saab driver collided with a MAN truck in Gulbene at the intersection of Baložu and Raiņa Street. Saab's driver died of injuries.

At 16:40 woman died in a collision between two cars at the 173rd kilometer of the Liepāja highway in Durbe. Initial information shows that the woman, while driving the Seat Ibiza car, drove into the opposite driving lane, where a collision occurred with a MAN truck. The driver of Seat Ibiza died at the scene of the accident.

At 12:27 a Scania truck carrying a combine harvester, backed into a frontal loader Manitou. A man was crushed between the truck and the loader.

As reported earlier, driving conditions this weekend are poor due to ice, snow, blizzard, and strong wind.
