Lieutenant General Ben Hodges is the former Commanding General of the United States Army in Europe, but since retiring from the U.S. military after 38 years of service has forged a career as a geopolitical and military expert.

He held the Pershing Chair in Strategic Studies at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) and is the Senior Advisor to Human Rights First, a non-profit, nonpartisan international human rights organization based in New York, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles.

In addition, Hodges serves as NATO Senior Mentor for Logistics, acts as a consultant for several companies and is co-author of the book Future War and the Defence of Europe, published by Oxford University Press.
