Listen to a Latvian Saint Patrick's Day podcast

March 17 is the national day of Ireland, St. Patrick's Day. To mark the occasion the independent 'Latvia Weekly' podcast has a special edition featuring an interview with the Irish ambassador to Latvia, Eimar Friel.

The links between Ireland and Latvia are strong, with a large Latvian diaspora population resident in the Emerald Isle. Recent cultural links between the two nations were strengthened by a staging of Bloomsday in Rīga when it was not possible to do so in Dublin due to the coronavirus pandemic.
