NATO STRATCOMCOE considers media and digital transformation

The Rīga-based NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence (STRATCOMCOE) returns April 21 with an online discussion "Media and Digital Transformation" with Andrius Tapinas and Hans H. Luik.

"The media industry is evolving at an unprecedented rate, driven by the need to reduce operating costs and at the same time generate more revenue from increasingly competitive and uncertain markets. Media companies are in many respects an early adopter of big data technologies because it enables them to drive digital transformation," the informative material says.

This discussion will look at how this digital change has transformed daily lives of journalists and ways how their stories are communicated across different channels.

The discussion will be livestreamed 16:00 Rīga time on STRATCOMCOE's YouTube channel and Facebook page.
