Basketball team welcomed home as Latvian national heroes

Latvia's men's basketball team returned home on Monday September 11 after securing an historic fifth-place finish at the FIBA World Cup in the Far East.

A heroes' welcome was planned, with a special ceremony at the Freedom Monument in central Rīga, and live coverage on national television.
