Būris: Is Europe's public health being politicized?

Take note – story published 2 years ago

We're pleased to present the second in the series of 'Būris' (Cage) discussions in English led by Ilze Nagla, the LTV correspondent in Brussels.

This week's topic under discussion is: "Vaccination against Covid-19 in Europe - is public health being politicized?"

Taking part are two MEPs, Veronique Trillet-Lenoir from France, representing the Renew Europe political group, and Petar Vitanov from Bulgaria, representing the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats.

Latvian Television has unveiled a new discussion format called 'Būris' (Cage) to air and share views from Europe on a range of topical and sometimes controversial issues.

The Brussels discussions are bolstered by local Latvian-language debates on related issues. You can see the list of topics that will be covered at the dedicated Būris web page on LSM. These include animal welfare, multiculturalism, hate speech, euthanasia and other controversial themes.

Discussions are available to watch on the LTV player and as Spotify podcasts. The Būris project is co-financed by the European Union.
