Around 118,000 Latvian citizens are currently living in the United Kingdom according to Eurostat data, with around 300 UK citizens living in Latvia. The current deadline for Britain to leave the European Union is now set as 31 October.
During his visit Barnier met with Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš, Defense Minister Artis Pabriks and business representatives.
