Danish royals pay a visit to Latvia

Members of the Danish royal family became the latest aristocrats to pay a visit to Latvia during its centenary year on December 6.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary are in Rīga on a two day visit.

Welcoming them to Rīga castle President Raimonds Vējonis said: "Today, Denmark is an important partner of Latvia in the field of defense and regional security. Denmark's active involvement in NATO's collective defense activities, in particular the initiative to establish a NATO divisional headquarters in Latvia, is important for strengthening the region's security."
