Latvia to send 50,000 euros to Australia to help victims of bush fires

The Latvian government will donate 50,000 euros to international efforts to respond to catastrophic wildfires in Australia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced January 15.

No further details were immediately available, but Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs had previously indicated the money would go via the Australian Red Cross.
