Passport roadshow heading to Australia and New Zealand

In October 2017, Latvian nationals will be able to apply for personal identity documents in Australia and New Zealand, the Foreign Ministry said May 25.

The Ministry in cooperation with the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs and Honorary Consuls will provide a possibility for Latvian nationals living in Australia and New Zealand to apply for passports and ID cards during the visit of a Mobile Passport Working Station from 9 October 2017 to 26 October 2017.

The move follows  similar initiative in 2014, as reported by LSM.

Biometric data will be collected at Latvian Honorary Consulates in Australia:

Perth, 9-10 October,

Adelaide, 12-13 October,

Melbourne, 16-18 October,

Brisbane, 20-21 October,

Sydney, 22-24 October.

Latvian nationals permanently residing in New Zealand will be able to apply for passports and ID cards in Auckland on 26 October.

Detailed information regarding the schedule of the Mobile Passport Working Station in every city and information on the documents required is available at Latvian Honorary Consulates.

This is the third time the visit of a Mobile Passport Working Station is organized in Australia and New Zealand. 633 passport and ID card applications for Latvian nationals in six cities were processed during such a visit in 2014.
