On June 22, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, will pay a visit to Latvia, according to the Latvian government.

During the visit, a meeting with Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš and a visit to Riga Technical University are planned.

Topics for discussion are expected to focus on the European recovery plan and allied matters.

After the talks with officials, a hydrogen-powered trolleybus will be inspected at the Cabinet of Ministers building. Afterwards, the officials will go to the Faculty of Architecture of Riga Technical University in Ķīpsala (though not aboard the bus), to see an exhibition of European Union co-financed fund projects and the Design Factory, as well as meet with students, researchers and lecturers.
